From one thing to another

Today's prompt: Projects I'm juggling right now...
Right now, today, I'm actually fairly free from projects, though not from commitments, you might say. Being employed at a church means that Christmas season is one of our "busy times". So between my commitment to helping run the projector and computer for the children's program tonight, running children to Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts (which are both finished for the year as of this week) and gift-buying, cookie-baking, card-addressing and gift-wrapping, I seem to keep pretty busy.

I am also reminded, though, that I can't let my being busy get in the way of the most important things in life--like taking time to care for someone who is in need. I don't mean just physically (because with the cold weather we're enduring right now, there is plenty of that...we're going to see temperatures above 0 today!) but the people who need an extra measure of love and patience and joy. There's a great story on Dan Miller's blog about remembering that you are sometimes the only Jesus people ever see!

It's that time of year, isn't it? Too many things going on at one time. Merry Christmas my friend. :)
