Being famous, part II

For what you would like to be famous?
I admit to being a bit of a snob about most celebrities, the Hollywood-type in particular. It seems ridiculous to me that we regular people spend so much time and energy worrying about their likes and dislikes, their private lives, their fashion, their looks, and all because they are famous. For what are they famous? Spending their lives pretending to be other people in front of a camera. If I'm going to be famous, then let it be for my intellect: finding the key to curing cancer or Alzheimer's, or Parkinson's; or let me be famous for my sacrifice: I gave my life to helping people like Mother Teresa.

Now, unlike most of self-centered Hollywood, I try not to get caught up in how I look (how did you like that for a segue?). But awhile back I did a layout about myself (a difficult thing for many of us to do). So in response to a challenge from Karen's blog I'm posting that layout. I used the Phat kit by Sharia Braxton.

Thanks for joining in Glynis.
That's a great layout with powerful journaling. Not surprising really coming from you.
I understand your need for reinforcement. I'm like that myself (though most people wouldn't know it). And even when others keep telling me how good I am I don't really believe them because, unlike them, I can see the nervous not-so-smart woman huddling in the corner of my brain.

Love your LO! Yes, that is SO SO true. We're beautiful in God's eyes and that's all that matters!

Loving the colours in that kit. I can also identify with the need for postive reinforcement. I need to belive more in me since everyone else does. Loved the layout.

I think no matter how confident we are in ourselves, a little external positive reinforcement never hurts. Great LO.
